Former Vader Joining Brad Anderson's Latest?

Source:ShockTillYouDrop.com
June 3, 2009

ShockTillYouDrop.com has learned Hayden Christensen (Star Wars, Jumper) is in talks to co-star in Vanishing on 7th Street, the latest picture from Brad Anderson, the director of Session 9 and The Machinist.

Christensen will join previously rumored cast members John Leguizamo and Thandie Newton. The three play survivors of a mysterious phenomenon in which, during a blackout most of the population disappears. Holed up in a tavern, they try to piece together what's happening before the "darkness" returns.

Shooting is expected to begin later this month in Spokane, Washington and New York.

Well that's one way to make sure that your movie will bomb. Just put Hayden Christensen in it.

Who would you rather, Christensen or Martin Lawrence? In my opinion, i've seen alot more horrible actors than Christensen.

First off, the Star Wars prequels suffered more form lousy writing than lousy acting

Second, Martin is no better or worse than Christensen. Neither one of these men have met a director that is willing to push their dramatic range. They either will play Hayden's looks and status as Vader or Lawrence's buffoonery.

Third, if these guys suck so bad, here's a suggestion: go to film school, take some acting lessons, and start making movies.

Fourth, they're paid and you're not (Neither am I for that matter) It sucks but it is the truth: DEAL WITH IT!

Your complaints are BS at best and pathetic at worst

yea frank martin lawrence has probably pushed real hard to get a serious part.your an idiot i agree the writing was terrible but the acting was pretty piss poor as well.. and what are you talking about status as vader? what movie have you seen that has him playing a part like that..your comments are bs at best and pathetic at worst

I'm with FrankCastleisMyHero. Hayden Christensen is a mediocre actor. He's not a great actor, but imo he's not a bad actor either. If you want to see a bad actor take Robert Pattinson as an example. And he acted wooden. Hayden was meant to act in a 30's, 40's style in SW, which 'looked' wooden probably to you. But again you got to take acting lessons, if you can't see the difference. I'm not going to say I have... But I can see the difference...

Has anyone here seen shattered glass awsome movie and wow whats this Hayden Christensen is the star. Wow who saw that coming an actor is as good as his director. The director needs to be able to push emotion and get talent out of his actors true some "actors" have no talent but not the case with Hayden he just seems to be one of the many directors actors who needs a certain type of director to be able to do his job.

I love Brad Anderson's movies. Excited for this one, cool plot.

Shattered Glass is the ONLY film I sing Christensen's acting for. The role was simply MADE for him as if the guy the film is based on hand-picked Hayden Christensen. Maybe that movie Kevin Klien also...
