Hardy's Cowboys for Christ Rides On!

Source:Ryan Rotten, Managing Editor
July 3, 2009

It's been over a year since we've heard anything about Cowboys for Christ.

Reports in early 2008 said director Robin Hardy's "companion piece" to his 1973 chiller The Wicker Man had lost its funding shortly before shooting was to begin in Scotland with Christopher Lee and Joan Collins leading the cast. Things are picking back up for Hardy. Sources tell us a bit of shooting has already taken place in Texas and Hardy is currently in production in Scotland!

Now, according to the IMDB, the film still stars Lee, as Sir Lachlan Morrison, and includes Ed Speleers (Eragon), Susie Amy (Lesbian Vampire Killers), Henry Garrett, Keith Warwick and Morgan James.

James and Speleers play Beth and Steve, respectively, Texas Christians on a mission to spread the word of the lord throughout Scotland. There they are hosted by Morrison, then things turn sour.

Like the original The Wicker Man, Lee is expected to sing again.

movie man isn't so bright... maybe next time he'll actually read article instead of typing snarky comment to boost his ego... but to the point I'm looking forward to this movie

It looks like this film finally has some support behind it.

Valentine Stockdale is listed as a new Executive Producer: http://www.callboxdiary.co.uk/crew/images/comprofiler/plug_profilegallery/670/pg_581846124.pdf
