definitely the best one in the series... death scenes were brutally amazing, the 3D definitely kept the series fresh. they went out on top in terms of the death sequences and gore.

I thought the opening scene was the weakest out of the series, mostly because the CGI made every kill far less visceral and took me right out of the film. Every time they used real gore affects, the impact of the kill was SO much higher, especially with the escalator scene, which was my personal favorite. They kept the pace quick enough where I didn't find myself getting bothered at how these kids just sit around explaining the story that the audience knows by heart over and over again, like they have in all the other films. The touches of humor helped a bit too. Not quit as darkly sadistic as 2, but certainly better than 1 & 3.

It made the first three look like the Lord of the Rings trilogy. The 3D was gimmicky as usual and actually hampered the experience because it made the CG even more obvious and out of place and it caused the gore scenes to lack a lot of detail which was pretty weak. The characters were amongst some of the dumbest I've ever encountered in any film as they seemingly love waltzing right into hazardous situations after they've been marked for death and they know it. The ending is a cop out, Brian Tyler's score is loud and obnoxious, the opening raceway sequence is more boring and dull than the openings of the previous three, there's not a shred of creativity anywhere to be found and the death scenes are tame compared to the ones in the others as well.

Basically it's one of the worst films I've seen this year, in tight competition with The Unborn, Transformers 2, and Wolverine. It's as bad as they come, even by Final Destination standards. I liked the first three but this one just sits there and smacks you in the face with dumb for an hour and a half.

1/10

Terrible! It had its Moments! 3-D was the Only Good Part About Watching it... Sorry, Everyone has their own opinions, its just how I feel! THE FINAL DESTINATION wasn't so Great! Had a Soap Opera Feel, The Acting Could have been a lot better! Effects Wern't the Best, VERY Predictable! Definitely Could of been a Straight to DVD Movie. 1 of 5 Stars

Awesome!!! I will see this several more times. Incredible rush. Better than ANY movie this year, although I haven't seen Halloween 2 yet.

I agree. This movie rocked. Absolutely unbelievable 3-D effects.

By far the best in the series. I liked the opening scene--won't give too much away if you haven't seen it. And the one right before the opening credits..OMG!!! What's funny is the girls are watching a 3-D movie at one point in the film.

If you get to see this in 3-D it's well worth paying $10.50 (where I live) and the 3-D is awesome. I can remember 3-D back in the 80's where you had "ghosting" problems...well you don't have that with Digital 3-D..there was one point there was some "ghosting" but not enough.

Like I said, by far the best in the series.

I thought this movie was absolute fun in the expected "Final Destination" formula. I know a lot of people complain cause of the same basic premise for each one. I however find it comforting to know what I'm getting into. These movies are like comfort food, you know what your going to get. Although part 3 still stands as my favorite, I can feel good about putting this in DVD collection when it comes out. I love the Manicure/Hair cut scene the most, and found the humor to be right on the mark. However you have to see this in 3-D in the theater, it is crucial to David Ellis's vision as it is a big "character" in the film. FUNTASTIC!

So what I'm getting from this, is that the film is safe and mindless entertainment. No risk, no real emotional investment... just the same film as the last three but in 3D.

I want to see it... but now I kind of don't. Sadly, the 3D element is the only thing that seems attractive to me and that's just not quite enough to justify the eight bucks.

Private Vasquez, I'd be very interested in hearing why the third film is your favorite in the series. It's an atypical choice, which is cool - just curious why it did more for you than the first two.

I thaught it was freakin sweeet!!! It was worth the 5 months of waiting! I hope they make a 5th. I thaught there was some suspense and it had a lot of humor and the 3d was cool. The death sequences were pretty good (although they could have done a little better in one of them). I will give this movie a 4.5/5

Mediocre, but I expected nothing more or less. See my full review at Brutal As Hell -
