What's funny is that my local Wal-Mart had Trick 'r Treat out early and I got my copy Sunday night!
It's awesome. It did everything for me I expected...it brought back that nostalgic feeling around Halloween and I had been looking for a new movie since Carpenter's Halloween.
That fulfillment has been in seperate movies, but now we have it all in one movie!
BTW...Wal-Mart has all the classic DVDs now for $5-$7.50. I found all the Halloween movies, The Shining, Poltergeist, Evil Dead, The Blair Witch Project, 28 Days/Weeks Later, Fright Night, etc.
No ad plug there...just letting the fans know!

I watched this last night and after months of reading the hype I was a little disappointed. The film is a little jumpy in places, but there were far more comedy moments than horror. The way in which the stories entwined was good to an extent, but by seeing things early on you can guess what is going to happen. Sam is quite an unnerving character, until his unmasking. As I said I was a little disappointed as I had promised my better half that this film was meant to be very scary and the disproving look I got when the film finished said it all.
Just got to remember don’t believe the hype in the future
6/10 in my book

Trick' r Treat was really good. A very cool flick. I was a little disappoint on 2 counts. No really cool extras in the special features, and a little more comedic than I would had liked for this movie. All in all, I would for sure own it, and watch it every Halloween, and I would also recommend it to anyone.
