EXCL: Who's on Halloween 3D Myers FX Duty?

Source:Ryan Rotten, Managing Editor
October 7, 2009

Shortly before the plug was temporarily pulled on Halloween 3D, director Patrick Lussier called on an old friend for FX and Myers mask-making duties.

Gary Tunnicliffe began work, briefly, on the production. Then Dimension halted development until Lussier could finish Drive Angry. The FX artist executed the kills in Lussier's My Bloody Valentine 3D. His credits in the Halloween franchise include Halloween: Resurrection (pictured) and Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers.

This summer, audiences saw his grisly gore gags in Marcus Dunstan's The Collector and he's presently working on the remake of Straw Dogs.

Halloween 3D is expected to resume production sometime next spring.

if you were involed in either one of those installments should not be allowed to come near this series. those were the worst in the entire series everything about them were bad

Actually the Zombie films were the worst installments of the franchise

I say, robert! Mr. Zombie's films bad, eh? How dare you, you cad! I challenge you to a duel!

*SLAP!*

Wow robert .. you really think those movies are better then Zombie's movies ? wow .... *speechless* ....

I almost walked out on Resurrection when I first saw it in theaters, but I'd gladly watch it every single day of the week rather than suffer through Zombie's white trash, trailer park, pointless, abortion of a remake. Just when you think the Halloween series can't get flushed any further down the toilet, along comes the next sequel/remake to prove everyone wrong.

i agree that ANYONE who worked on RES and CURSE shouldn't be allowed ANYWHERE near H3D. and Zombie's films are a trillion times better than those 2 abominations.

Posted by: djblack1313 on October 7, 2009 at 15:57:53

also, look at how cheesy and drag queen-ish that mask looks in the RES pic (and no i'm not referring to TARA! LOL)!!

The FX was good on all of those movies IMO!,The films themselfs is something different and personally I only hated resurection and I don't even have and never will have that in my halloween dvd collection.

I really dont understand all the hate for CURSE it actually was one of the violent, dark out of the whole franchise, seriously they made him gorrila huge with really good brutal kills. its one of my favorites.
I agree resurrection sucked big ****in **** for sure. and also zombies H2 was very good, really liked his take on Myers, of course the film would've been 10 times better with out his goddamn wife in it, all of his films would've been that way.

Really! I loved fat Michael in Curse Of Michael Myers ha ha ha! and resurrection I don't even know what the f*** they were thinking when they made that pile of s***? I used to be a limo driver a couple yrs back and drove limo for Busta Rhymes a year after he made resurrection... to make a long story short he got pissed at me cause I got lost and I almost told him he ruined tha franchise but I had no balls cause that big mother f**ka would of kicked my a** ! Anyways they haven't got the mask and story right since the original Halloween 2.

Posted by: Horror Live on October 7, 2009 at 17:09:45

The CURSE was very good and zombie's H2 was good to but resurrection was a ****.

Halloween 3D is going to be good if the do something new and not a sequel to zombie's Halloweens.

Who cares if those movies weren't up to snuff?. We're talking about the man's work, and he does good work. Enough said.

Hopefully this film will have the real Michael Myers, instead of the rampaging Grizzly Adams in a hoodie imposter we've been given. Can't wait!.

the put it on hold couse platnum dums has freddy pland for early summer 2010 and letter that summer they are going to open frisday the 13th part 2 so they put it on hold cuz they are scared to losing there money!!!

I liked The Curse cause it had grown up tommy in it, and Resurrection with the exception of Busta Rymes. I think these two movies along with H20 were the last real strong Halloween movies before Zombie got his hands on it. I liked his remake of the first one up until it got to haddonfield and then he put his Zombie touch on it and messed it up. I didnt even bother with the second one cause the ending of the first one was probably the dumbest ending of any movie ever.
