Vampire Killers Drops Lesbian for U.S. Release

Source:ShockTillYouDrop.com
October 26, 2009

The Britsh horror-comedy Lesbian Vampire Killers puts its bite on the U.S. December 29. Except for one thing. When Vivendi Entertainment and The Weinstein Company release the film at that time it will simply be called Vampire Killers.

James Corden and Mathew Horne star as two clueless friends who find themselves part of a bloody big adventure when they wander into a feeding ground for a band of fangs-baring vampire babes. With a busload of hot history students to protect, they'll try to survive the night, break an ancient curse, and take down as many buxom bloodsuckers as possible.

No DVD special features have been revealed. For trailers and stills, click here!

Ummm, okay what's wrong with the word lesbian? Sure it would turn off mothers taking their kids, but, why would they be taking to their kids to see it anyway? I thought the title sold it for me when I heard about it six months ago. Granted I am not gay or offended by them taking lesbian off the title, but wow are we really living in politically correct world now? I mean come on. It's a ****in title to a comedy horror flick. I wonder if they have a problem with Asain Blood Suckers, or Gay Gangsta Zombies.

America is one the most culturally repressed societies within the industrialized world.

We are a bunch of prudes. Yet we have a show called dancing with the stars that are watched by these family-values obsessed mothers and their families where the girls scamper around in virtually nothing.

So there you have it. We are as a country a bunch of prudes and hypocrites.

USA! USA! USA! USA!

Another example of how deep is the gap between USA and England since the independance day !

Putting the word Lesbian in the title gives it more of a campy feel that would hurt sales/rentals. It's a good move, and gives it more of an opportunity for a wider market.

Yeah right, Vampire Killers for a vampire movie is as average as Treasure Island for a pirate movie !!
The campy feel was the only card this movie could play to be picked over tons of cheesy vampire flicks with average titles, good move my ass...
