A few days ago, After Dark Films announced that Kevin Hamedani's ZMD: Zombies of Mass Destruction officially became the fifth addition to 2010's Horrorfest 4, the annual "8 Films To Die For" festival, which hits theaters on January 29th. Now, a trailer for the zombie comedy has surfaced on-line.

You can take your first peek at the trailer below and read the press release at our previous news post here.

The film is set in "ZMD," a conservative island community that's under attack. Port Gamble, Washington is being overrun with brain eaters, and the people seem powerless to stave them off. A rag tag band of rebels led by Frida (Janette Armand), an Iranian college student suspected of being an Iraqi terrorist, and Tom (Doug Fahl), a gay business man who has returned to town with his partner to come out to his mother, tries to turn the tide and push the invading hoards of undead back.

ZMD: Zombies of Mass Destruction joins other Horrorfest titles Dread, The Graves, Hidden and Lake Mungo.

i thought this movie's title got changed to just ZOMBIES! how can 2 movies coming out relatively close to one another have the same DISTINCT title?

What's the other movie coming out?

DJ, as I said in the last story, I used "Zombies" just for the headline, but in the body of the story, I used the entire title: "ZMD: Zombies of Mass Destruction."

That's the final title. They were first on the scene, so I guess they get to use it.

"don't shoot me, i'm gay"? "Brian, you know i'm a vampire man"?!! the movie looks mildly enjoyable MINUS horrible one liners like these.
