Kevin Williamson Gives Scream 4 Update

Kevin Williamson teased earlier via his twitter page that he's "writing" and that it's been a "late night". After a brief chat with MTV, it's evident that he's hard at work completing the script for Scream 4, with the 5th chapter also on cue. (He tell's MTV he's contractually obligated to Part 5 as well.)

We already know that stars Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox and David Arquette are all returning, and although director Wes Craven hasn't fully committed, he has expressed interest and excitement over Williamson's ideas. So, what can we expect from the next sequel?

"The fourth one is an ensemble. It'll take place right now, 10 years later, and it's going to take place in [Sidney Prescott's hometown of] Woodsboro. We'll have our three main characters, and we'll be introducing several more. We'll also be introducing a little group, a little ensemble of new castmembers. That'll take us through the next three."

The plan has always been to launch a new trilogy of Scream films as he explains in the video embedded at the end of this post. Check it out for yourself to hear more about Scream 4!

I like Scream, but not liking the idea of a new trilogy with a new cast.

Kill Sydney off or she comits suicide from finally cracking. Dewey and the Courtney Cox Ar..(whatever's)characters have a boy and a girl, and a dog. Then they all five get killed. The new cast except for the hero all die in a fire. Have it so the killer actually is someone returned from the dead (Sydney) and she can't be killed except for temporarily like in the Friday The 13th movies. She get's knocked out and falls off a building or something into a river and then everyone celebrates at the end by eating Sundaes! In the fifth movie Sydney finals get's killed off by decapitation as well as the lead character. Say Indiana Jones plane propeller.

The credits roll to Benny Hill music! THE END!

I dont understand everyone who says "they love scream ,but dont want to see the 4th one." Who cares? This movie won't erase the old screams, so having a new scream won't hurt.

Gale will be the killer...She must have more news!!! So she murders someone in woodsborow to bring them all back. They need Sidney's help to solve the murder, Gale gets news, and Dewey has to kill gale to save Sidney!
