Silent Hill 2 to Start Filming in 2010?

Source:ShockTillYouDrop.com
November 13, 2009

Silent Hill special makeup effects designer Paul Jones gave us an update about the sequel today on the Toronto set for Resident Evil: Afterlife.

"I was working on storyboards for that around the same time last year," Jones revealed. "It's going to be pretty crazy. There's a lot of cool stuff in there. Roger (Avary) has some awesome ideas and hopefully we're going to bring that to fruition sometime next year."

He would not comment on whether the script was complete, but he said that with a smile.

The first film, released in 2006, was directed by Christophe Gans and earned $97.6 million worldwide.

Right On! I hope that it can live up to the first. Some of those scenes still give me the creeps.

Pyramid Head. Rape. Everything else would be a disappointment and (another) wasted opportunity.

Silent Hill: The Movie was pretty good with some of the best practical and CGI monsters ever. Looking forward to the sequal! :D

I've been praying for a second Silent Hill film since I saw the first one in the theatre. Saw it 3 times in the theatre, the first time was pure enjoyment, the second was to catch what i missed the first time around. While the Third time was more to watch the audience in a Pavlov's dog scenario.

Turning around and watching the audience start to cringe as soon as the sirens went off was the perfect psychological piece that the movie needed to transfer over from the games to film and where almost all video game to film adaptations have lacked.

Keep them comming guys but in their own time, Do it right and make us all happy and creeped out again...

This is very good news! I couldn't get enough of the first film, having watched it in the theater and then on DVD at least 12 times.
I agree with the other posters, more Red Pyramid!
