Because you were wondering what Edward Carnby's been up to since his first film endeavor in Uwe Boll's Alone in the Dark, director Michael Roesch has called upon the supernatural investigator for Alone in the Dark 2. Carnby's gotten a facelift (he's played by Rick Yune) and he's surrounded by genre vets Lance Henriksen, Bill Moseley and Michael Pare.
Vivendi releases the sequel on DVD January 26 and a trailer has popped up online - watch it below. This time Edward Carnby is back on the trail of a deadly supernatural killer. He must solve this mystery rooted in the past before it claims more lives, including his own.

So - wait. Is he the Asian dude now. Not that I'm complaining, we need more Asian lead actors- and I'm talking Asian Americans but how are they going to explain that? I could be mistaken but they did show that Asian guy an awful lot.

Switching from Slater to Yune without explanation won't screw up a movie as much as having Uwe Boll in the directors chair again. They didn't mention Danny "Machete" Trejo in the write up. I care more about seeing him than Michael Pare. Yes, that was Danny with the Big gun.

I can confirm, this movie was leaked over a year ago (a decent workprint version), i remember watching it & realized that it was even more awful than the 1st one.. Poor Lance Henriksen..but yeah, whatever pays the bills..

Finally, the sequel we've all been clamoring for! This looks fantastic!!!
Seriously, why don't they just use the stories from the first two games? I remember playing them when they first came out and being scared out of my damn mind. They were already made in a cinematic way. Wouldn't be that hard to flesh the stories out a little to make a feature...*sighs* It just seems so easy.

This movie sucks over a year ago when I saw it and had nothing to do with the original movie. I wish they would re-title it and admit it has nothing to do with the first one. All they are doing is trying to do is cash in using the title "ALONE IN THE DARK".... Lance Hendrickson was the only good actor...
