Source: Blu-Ray
March 19, 2010
Being late to the Supernatural party, I presumed season one was already on Blu-Ray. Guess I'm wrong. Warner Home Video is releasing the season on June 15. No word yet on season two's transition to the format. Season one will be packed with over two hours of new features. Here's the breakdown:
• The Devil's Road Map: interactive map guide to Season One's urban legends and unusual facts (new)
• Commentaries:
o Pilot, by series creator Eric Kripke, director David Nutter and producer Peter Johnson
o Phantom Traveler by co-stars Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles
• Paley Festival panel discussion featuring the cast and creators (new)
• Featurettes:
o Day in the Life of Jared and Jensen
o Supernatural: Tales from the Edge of Darkness
• Unaired/extended scenes
• Gag reel
Season one introduces us to the Winchester family, namely Sam and Dean (Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles, respectively). They set out across the country taking on various creatures and threats while trying to find their dad.

Doesn't really matter to me, I've still got a standard definition TV and DVD player. Crap's just too expensive. :-(
