Dread Central recently caught up with director Victor Garcia and got official word that his latest film Mirrors 2 will be hitting DVD shelves on October 19th, 2010 courtesy of 20th Century Fox. The sequel to Alex Aja's 2008 film starring Kiefer Sutherland now shifts focus to a boutique store in New Orleans run by Max (Nick Stahl). William Katt and Emmanuelle Vaugier also star.
Check out our first set report on Mirrors 2 at our previous article right here.
Synopsis: When Max, a recovering addict, takes a job as a night time security guard job at his father's department store, he begins to see visions of a young woman in the store's mirrors. Unsure whether his visions are side effects of his prescription sleeping pills or actual reality, he begins to look deeper into the source of the images in the mirrors. When employees of the store turn up dead and Max is a suspect in the murders, he must expose the girl's connection to a scandal within the department store's walls in order to prove his innocence and put a stop to the spirits in the mirrors.

i liked the first one a lot actually and got on here and saw the words "will be hitting DVD shelves" and wasnt even kinda surprised. not really a reason for a sequel and it didnt make a billion dollars so its not surprising. i mean why bother putting time and effort into something good when you can just churn out cheap crap and stick a familiar label on it and make money?
either way the pulling the jaw off scene in the first one is still one of the cooler effects ive seen pulled off.

I would have been interested in seeing this if Kiefer Sutherland was involved...but yeah, didn't quite like it enough to see a straight to dvd sequal featuring another character.

I'll be seeing this at some point, I'm sure. IMO, the first one wasn't great by any stretch though.

I won't watch it if Kiefer isn't in it.The first one had some coll effects and Kiefer MADE it great, but other than that,no way!

Hmmm, I don't know about this one. Would've been good if it was a sequel to the first where Kiefer tried to make people realize he was in the mirror, or tried to get out of the mirror or something. Sounds like it could be good though. Loved the 1st one
