That title doesn't sound gimmicky at all. It will also transfer perfectly to Blu. Haha. Wow. I think its funny that alot of studios don't like to put a number on their movies after a while, like we didn't notice them putting out a saw movie every year, for the last 7 years.

I really liked all the movie's of the Saw Trilogy. not many people have the audacity or the conviction to pursue in such a field as Horror.
I would like to meet the people who put together the movie's & shake their hand. I am a Writer myself so I know how demoralizing, humiliating, & how hard the industry can be for People in this area of entertainment.

I totally agree with the title being stupid! I personally hate it when things aren't in order, I mean,really, would it really hurt to put a VII in the title? And @Nomatron, how WOULD the traps come alive? Although the transformer idea would be interesting....

This is really disappointing. I think it totally takes away from being that ONE MOVIE that is not like the others. I'll still watch it, but I think they're making a very dumb decision.

That is pure rubbish.
Why put "3D" in the title?
3D movies and shows are the new thing, but how about in 5-10 years, when every movie and show is done in 3D. The movie titles will look even lamer than they already do with 3D tacked on.
Just leave it as Saw VII. This new name looks like it was thought up by elementary school kid.

I love all the Saw movies and I haven't really "doubted" any of the movies before they come out, but this title is HORRIBLE. If it was just called "Saw 3D," that wouldn't be great, but it'd be alright...but "The Traps Come Alive?" That's a catch phrase, not a title. That'd be like if Saw VI was called "Saw VI: It All Comes Full Circle"

I thought 7 saw meant to be about Gordan's involvement - now I'm seriously confused.... I'm a mad SAW fan and now this sounds like its not about the story but about the traps which isnt really part of the story but actually a side issue.

Hey guys, listen. Idk if anyone else has thought of this. but maybe they go it wrong. they might have misunderstood what the executives said.
maybe the tagline is The Traps Come Alive
or maybe it's just a hoax.
I refuse to believe that the guys at SAW are changing the name to that rubbish. I don't care much for the name, for its the film that interests me. But if they change it, they will obviously be beaten by Paranormal Activity this october

but like i said, it might be a mistake.
probably the TAGLINE is "The Traps Come Alive"

wish they could just leave it as SAW 7. i dont think anyone would take that title seriously. if they want to use it just use it as a tagline like these quotes usually are. and hopefully the 3d wont be on the dvd and they will keep it 2d.

Honestly who gives a **** what the title is? I'm an avid Saw fan, and i'm sorry CHANGING THE TITLE is not going to change the story of the movie. Really guys!!

And for those of you who don't get the whole "The traps come alive" bit, think about it - ITS IN 3-D! ****'s going to be coming at you, popping out of the screen.

what if its a hoax, or what if The Traps Come Alive is actually the Tagline

It could be

Saw VII (3D)
and it's TAGLINE is "The Traps Come Alive"

Saw VI had the TAGLINE"The Game Comes Full Circle"

so why is everyone assuming that this is real.
Just cause the site says "this is what they said" doesn't mean its true.
it could be a misunderstanding or a hoax..

Seriously though, I like the title, and I think it's smart, especially if they're going the 3-d route, it's gonna remind everyone else that the sick traps are going to be in 3-D(isgusting)
