EXCL: Sundown: The Vampire in Retreat DVD, Art!

Source:ShockTillYouDrop.com
June 30, 2008

Update: As promised, you'll find an exclusive first look at the cover art below!

Exhumed from moratorium, Anthony Hickox's 1990 Sundown: The Vampire in Retreat will be rediscovered by a whole new generation of horror fans when Lionsgate releases a special edition DVD on September 23rd.

The blood 'n dirt bloodsucker tale starring Bruce Campbell, David Carradine and Deborah Foreman, tells of vampires in a remote town existing on synthetic blood. When a human family blows in, temptation arises and a quarrel kicks up between the vamps who want to maintain the peace and those who would love to sink their teeth into a neck or two.

ShockTillYouDrop.com was granted a first look at the special features which include...

Memories of Moab featurette (an all-new interview with Bruce Campbell)
A Vampire Reformed featurette (all-new interview with David Carradine)
The Making of Sundown featurette
• Audio commentary with director Anthony Hickox and director of photography Levie Isaacks
• Photo Gallery

I tried watching this on VHS and couldn't because it was too horribly pan and scanned. Horrible art, but I'll pick this up anyway.

I'm not that big on horror movies, with the exception of the old black and whites. Slasher and Gore movies aren't my thing. This reminded me of the old black and white, but being in color. It's really not that much of a horror flick as horror goes. David's other horror flick Evil Toons might apply. Even so, this movie is my most favorite to watch at Halloween! I watch it every year. I am please and excited to see this finally come out on DVD and with special features! I CAN"T WAIT!
