Wow they need to drop the price by like $20 cuz i'd only be willing to pay for FvJ which was atleast watchable.....Jason X is one of the worst movies made in the history of cinema

RL, Seriously! Anyways, since I already have "Freddy Vs. Jason", and "Jason X" blows, I'll just get "Jason Goes to Hell" and wait to see what Paramount has in store.

Lemme clear it up when it says The Mummy they mean the ones with Boris Karloff and Brendan Fraser....it's still one franchise
Posted by: Legends on October 27, 2008 at 17:39:13
There is no way the Boris Karloff mummy should be associated with the Brendan Fraser, they are completely seperate.

Jason Goes to Hell is great. Jason X sucks... and FvsJ is alright. But i rather wait until what Paramount takes out!

Which do you think is worse? Jason takes Manhattan or Jason goes to Hell?

"Jason Goes to Hell." I'll take Manhattan any day over that crap.
Posted by: ico on October 27, 2008 at 18:08:46
Yeah, i think they're talking about the Boris Karloff not Brenden Fraser (or, technically, Arnpld Vosloo) movie. What do you think John Carpenter would have done with it if he had agreed to do the remake?

Jason Goes to Hell was terrible. Never bothered with Jason X, though I saw it on sale for $5 today.

They all have their moments. I own all three already as well as the From Crystal Lake to Manhattan set that Paramount released. I learned my lesson about selling original copies for a new "updated" copy of a film to get a ticket or extra extra features with the release of Resident Evil: Extinction. I bought the Resident Evil/Resident Evil: Apocalypse two disc set with plans to sell my original copies so I could get the free ticket to see Extinction and was shafted when I opened the set and no ticket was there. I was refunded though, but stlll.
And I really think that they are talking about the Brendan Fraser Mummy Franchise... unfortunately...

That's one of the best films in my opinion. It took the franchise a totally different direction. Great story and great characters and nothing but plain and simple FUN!
Manhattan on the other hand should've been called Jason Takes a Boat Ride.
I do like the last act of that movie though. And Kane was actually the best thing about it.

I just scored 9 and 10 for $5 a piece at Best Buy! I like X, it gets hated on too much by people that haven't even seen it. It has the highest body count of all the films, and the plot is so freakin far out there I can't ignore it. Jason Takes Manhattan is way worse than Goes to Hell, in fact I'll say Manhattan is the worst one of all. I'm all about 6 baby, Jason LIVES!!! My fav of the bunch, followed by 4, 2, 3 and 7 in that order.

I can't choose which is worse, Jason takes Manhattan or Jason goes to Hell. I find both of them to suck. Jason takes Manhattan almost seems like a joke, like the Adam West Batman show made fun of comics. Jason goes to Hell was just too cheesy even for a Jason movie. I do like the Evil Dead and Freddy references though.

Manhattan was the first horror movie i ever saw so i sadly say it has to be my fav; however, i love the "friday" series from 1-fvj! jason x was misunderstood i think, jason goes to hell was lacking, and fvj was confusing to say the least.

Jason goes to hell was the ultimate cross over movie. Not only do they cross franchises of Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elm Street at the end of the movie, they also cross over Evil Dead when the're investigating Jason's house. The guy flips through the Neronomicon, the book of the dead, laying on the table.

How can Jason leave a mark in the first Friday the 13th when he was in there for a few seconds, and even so , he was just a child. not the unstoppable monster we all know him as.
i'm glad Friday the 13th is in 4th place in box office gross, but lease don't advertise it as a Jason feature.
oh, by the way THE MUMMY is not a horror movie ! ! ! !
