yay the unrated version of a boring movie, well it's still gonna be bette that the orginal Texas Chainsaw and all of Eli Roth's movies combined

Posted by: Dude on November 3, 2008 at 15:38:33

Except fot the Eli Roth part, I doubt both your credibility, and your intelligence, ray.

I'll be buying this.

Posted by: Judson on November 3, 2008 at 15:49:18

YES!! FINALLY!!!

Posted by: ray on November 3, 2008 at 15:51:41

you doubt my intelligence because I stated my opinion? groovy. sorry mine isn't the same as yours, but I'm not a sheep that follows everyone else. You probably like The Blair Witch Project also, or Jeepers Creepers...if so you have NO credibilty what so ever, and doubting my intelligence because of an opinion shows just how unintelligent you really are

Holy Effing SHH-It! Please say that Paramount will release ALL of the F-13ths UNCUT (Especially III and VII)!

Posted by: Mikey on November 3, 2008 at 16:00:41

I'm not a big fan of the first Friday myself. But I would be all over the complete series uncut...

Posted by: BoggyCreekBeast on November 3, 2008 at 16:13:03

Heck, I'll give a look.

Posted by: Space Monkey on November 3, 2008 at 16:18:26

They should release a box set of uncut versions of all the films, not just the First one. The first is arguably the weakest, well until you get to horrid ones without the Friday title like Jason take Manhattan and Jason X...

Posted by: mike on November 3, 2008 at 16:46:03

sweet i can't wait to have the uncut version and ill be getting that on blue ray, granted this isn't my favorite but this is a start, i hope they release them all on blue ray soon, still not sure how i feel about the new one

Ray...
While I don't agree with your comment about TCM, you actually had a point...until you did the same damn thing "dude" did, by proclaiming that if someone likes a movie you don't (like Blair Witch or Jeepers Creepers), then THEY have no credibility.
What's with all the arrogant horror fans who think that their opinions are somehow gospel, and anyone who disagrees is an idiot?
Everyone likes different movies...quit acting like snooty ******* film critics guys...

Posted by: Ruttle on November 3, 2008 at 17:44:53

Opinions are like *******s - everybody's got one. And sometimes, that opinion belongs to an *******....myself, I'm not big on the first Friday, simply because I don't believe a middle-aged, petite lady could commit such graphic murder on younger, bigger teenagers. As for the entire series, Parts 4 & 6 are my favorite.

Posted by: Ray on November 3, 2008 at 18:12:12

Mike237, I did that to try and prove a point about opinions. If someone likes a movie and I don't agree with them then its cool with me. My opinions are not gospel. and I'm not gonna try and force it on anyone

I loved to see part 2 uncut. The footage exists because the make-up effects guy has it.

I got this information from the Crystal Lake Memories book.

RAY

You're dumb. You just said that If you like Blair Witch of Jeepers Creepers (which I personally do) that you have no credibility based on that opinion. That was the most pathetic instance of hypocrisy I have ever seen. These type of idiotic comments and assbackwards thinking are what give horror fans a bad name. Eat a ****

Posted by: J. Warner on November 3, 2008 at 19:10:23

I personally find the original first "Friday" to be the only film in the entire run of the franchise that has any merit or artistry whatsoever.

In short, I'll certainly take a look at this.

Side Note: As someone who finds "Jeepers Creepers" (the original, not the first sequel) to be a bit underrated and "The Blair Witch Project" to be widely hideously undervalued and is a genuine game-changer in the genre, I'll have to respectfully disagree with your above comment, Ray.

You young kids and your opinions. You always talk around the fact and always bring up other movies. How can you compare. The movie is in it's own category and is first in what many call the slasher film. Probabbly made way before most of you were a twinkle in your daddys eye. Negative comments for arguments sake? Geez.

go for Blu-ray!!!

Posted by: jrrrz on November 4, 2008 at 09:12:49

Ray is talking out of his ass. i'll bet he never got to see the original Friday in the theaters like most of us real fans did. i'm sure he is content with watching remakes because he is of a different generation of fans, the type that need computer cgi and lack of creativity to keep amused.
you can't blame the guy for having such poor taste .

Definately stoked as hell about this news!!! I look forward to seeing it the way it was always meant to be seen.:)

Posted by: film11 on November 4, 2008 at 12:41:57

Jason, I fdon't understand how you can refer to FRIDAY as the first slasher film, considering that BLACK CHRISTMAS and (going back further) PSYCHO predated it by years!!

I wonder if there is more footage in the uncut version than the " uncut bootleg " version i got from ebay like three years ago. i remember Annie's death scene being a bit longer and Kevin Bacon's demise having more blood squirting up in the air to the point it lands in his mouth too.
there was only like four minutes total that was added to the movie.

cannot wait.

Posted by: warpath on November 4, 2008 at 19:11:44
