i like the idea it will get a different look. the first one was horrible!
Posted by: Ruttle on January 9, 2009 at 12:44:40
So he was 16/17 when he worked on Scream 2?
Posted by: heat on January 9, 2009 at 12:45:35
The first one was fine, but I look forward to any changes as Zombie seems to get things down pat with his revisits
Posted by: krod on January 9, 2009 at 13:07:19
i am thinking this will be an all flashbacks movie
Posted by: Jud on January 9, 2009 at 13:36:19
Not sure who shot Devils Rejects but that was Zombie's best looking film by far...should stick with that guy.
Posted by: Mykl on January 9, 2009 at 13:56:49
Yeah that age does not seem right… I like how Zombie is going to make this Halloween different like DR was to House… hopefully that means he has a better script to go with it.

i really liked the way Zombie's HALLOWEEN looked. as a matter of fact that's one of the things i liked the most about the movie. it had atmosphere (IMO). i hope this new guy is good and makes this movie good!
Posted by: Caterpillar on January 9, 2009 at 16:29:38
If it's an improvement upon the first film in the same way DEVIL'S REJECTS blew HO1KC out of the water we might have a winner.

Ruttle where in the hell do you see he was 16 or 17? there is NOTHING that states his age do you even read the damn thing or do you just pop up on here n post some BS just so you can have your 5 cents worth?
Posted by: Big N on January 9, 2009 at 16:41:23

Posted by: Chris on January 9, 2009 at 17:20:58
Krod,
Why would this be an all flashbacks movie if it picks up immediately AFTER the first Halloween?
Posted by: joe asylo on January 9, 2009 at 17:52:36
guest that's not bed of achoice?
Posted by: Scarehuman on January 9, 2009 at 18:22:09
Shucks, I read this article hoping it was an announcement that someone was replacing Zombie as the director. I thought the first one was a grungy trailer trash sex fest that didn't nearly live up to the legacy of the original.
Posted by: SnowMonster on January 9, 2009 at 19:14:23
All of you people are ****ing idiots. Zombie's movies rock! Just like his music.
Posted by: Joe on January 9, 2009 at 23:30:00
Wow, Scream 2 sucked ass so did Mortal Kombat: AnalNation.

"Sucked ass"...How old are you guys? 10? If you have an opinion, express yourself better so that people take it seriously..
Posted by: J. Warner on January 10, 2009 at 01:26:06
I have to respectfully disagree with you, Joe: "Scream 2" is one of the few sequels I feel, although doesn't surpass its originator, is a completely good film in its own right and does not disappoint in almost any way which is of course rare for sequels.
Agree to disagree.

Scream, let's not forget, was the movie that COMPLETELY brought the entire genre back from the dead! Because it was meant to be a trilogy from the very beginning the second installment was still extremely good! Broke all kinds of opening week records and continued to do well throughout the entire release. It wasn't until Kevin Williamson decided not to write the 3rd (although he did write the treatment for it)that we were able to see a drop-off in the quality.
And now they're talking Scream 4? Unless both Wes Craven AND Kevin Williamson are involved I really hope they leave it alone! This is one rare franchises that in 20 years from now, in my opinion, will be looked at in a similar fashion to the original Halloween.
Posted by: Rain Man on January 11, 2009 at 12:40:52
It BETTER NOT FOLLOW THE SECOND MOVIE!!!!! I hated the scenes that Zombie blatently ripped off from the original, especially the dialogue. I want new ideas and dialogue and not a "PSYCHO" copy. I will still be a dumba$$ and see the sequel in the theater but I have very low expectations for it.

I like how he keeps trying to do something different.
Posted by: Madness Of Mando on January 11, 2009 at 15:54:23
Lets be happy ZOMBIE is doing it and not some first time, joe blow nobody who doesn't even have love for the genre... was it perfect? NO, did it have Flaws?? Yes... but it was better than half the ish that BAY and RAIMI (god bless him) has put out in the last 4 years. Trust me creeps... it coulda been a lot worse.Lets not cry over spilt blood.
Posted by: Jrock on January 11, 2009 at 17:44:58
Ah, if this guy can take Halloween out of the trailer park and into Haddonfield, he would have done something.
Posted by: doug on February 15, 2009 at 00:15:31
