Phillips is Rabbit Bouncer in Halloween 2

Source:Rob Zombie
January 12, 2009

Just after the holidays, the first casting announcement for Halloween 2 went out.

The production was looking for a character named "Howard" who was described as a "huge, thick necked bouncer at the 'Rabbit in Red' night club. He's not a pierced-tattooed-rocker type, but more of a hard workin' fist fightin' beer drinkin' bouncer.

Today, writer-director Rob Zombie announced he has found his bruiser in the form of Jeffrey Daniel Phillips (pictured). The actor may be best known as one of the Cavemen in the long-running Geico Insurance commercials (and the doomed sitcom that followed Cavemen) but he's also a writer and director.

Phillips will join previously announced Tyler Mane and Ezra Buzzington (that item here).

This guy must be unique for Zombie to pick him.

It's weird...but I think Zombie will make a good film. I enjoyed the first Halloween. I came into it knowing it would be nothing like Carpenter's and it wasn't but Zombie's take was unique and original, but I could have done without the stupid sex/kill scenes. Seemed like every kill was a sex scene.

Looks like we'll be seeing more of this guy in Zombie's movies, since he loves to use the same actors/actresses.
