Fickman Leading Monster Attack Network
Source:Variety
March 16, 2009
With Race to Witch Mountain making some nice coin at the box office, Disney is now turn to director Andy Fickman for another film: Monster Attack Network.
Pic was announced shortly after Comic-Con last year. Writers Scott Elder and Josh Harmon are adapting the AIT/Planet Lar graphic novel which concerned a South Pacific island that is repeatedly attacked by giant beasts emerging from the sea. It was created by Bernardin and Adam Freeman. For the film, focus will settle "on an elite government agency's resolve to protect America's coasts from huge, rampaging monsters."
Disney's thinkin' "big" in more ways than one on this project. Big story. Big FX. A tentpole film. Wanted's Jason Netter is producing.
