Looks pretty ****eous, but I'm sure it will make $$

Looks pretty decent. Better than Prom Night. I hope they go for the R rating. It would suck if something like this was PG-13. That's the scares is the blood and violence.

this loooks like a good old fashioned, R RATED(!!!!!!) SLASHER/who-done-it!! AWESOME!! i can't wait! and it's an OCTOBER movie!! SOMETHING OTHER than SAW part 4000. Christopher, it's definitely (by the director/writer)
Posted by: djblack1313 on March 19, 2009 at 17:31:28
oops, i meant Christopher, it's DEFINITELY a HARD R rating. the director/writers said this a while back on the blog.

I think the slasher genre might be coming to an end.
I think the potential of creating a new iconic slasher is dead. It's hayday was in the 80's and the last new slasher movie to make an impression was Scream. It's gotten to the point that they're remaking the old movies because i think they've finally recognized this. The problem is that they've done everything and theres very little originality left in the genre, not because they don't care but because like i said, everything has been done. The genre really needs a reboot but what can you really do? Don't ask me. They really need to do something that sticks. Something iconic like Freddy, Leatherface, Jason and Micheal Myers. I'm starting to feel that the slasher movie has run it's course like westerns or slapstick comedies. All those past movies have added to the genre but all the questions have been answered and the sculpture is finished.
I don't think anything big will happen with the genre for a long time. Maybe we need a slowdown in the genre to begin something new.

thank god this an R, and not a pg-13.
and Vlad, this movie came out first, it's a remake. so it isn't copying i know what you did last summer

The slasher film will never come to an end! Yes, we have no new good killers like Freddy, Jason, Michael, Leatherface etc. But there is still time. This film doesnt look like it's going to change that but it looks like a fun, popcorn movie. I dont always go to the cinema expecting something to challenge my brain, I expect a good enjoyable movie.

Oh come on you guys. This trailer is really promising. Sure it looks similar to "I Know What You Did Last Summer" (plot, killer) but that movie was the ultimate back in the late 90s. I think this cast is pretty attractive and complement each other well and the death scenes looks cool. It's definitely a hit or miss but from the other "Re-Imagined" films this year, I gotta give this: A-
Can't wait to see the finished film.

I dunno after watching the trailer, I Know What You Did Last Summer is a staple of my slasher film collection.
And big thumbs down for killing off Carrie Fisher!
I dunno about the film.
Maybe...

An R rating in theaters means an Unrated version on DVD, best to wait for that. No chance for any boobs or bush from Bruce & Demi's daughter or that chick from The Hills, so I'm counting on the no-name girls to pick up the slack.
